Newly opened resort treats Melaka Civil Defence Force to buffet

ALOR GAJAH: A newly-opened resort here honoured Melaka Civil Defence Force with a sumptuous buffet to show appreciation and sacrifice to the people.

Parkroyal A’Famosa Melaka Anthony Paul Quin said this was the first time the hotel organised an exquisite buffet since its soft opening earlier this year and decided to invite APM officials as dignitaries to the event on Thursday night (Feb 22).

He said Melaka Civil Defence Force director Lt Kol (PA) Kamarulsyah Muslim and chairman of APM’s Associate Corporate Officers Kol (PA) Mike Thein were invited to grace the event that was also attended by Alor Gajah government officials and representatives from the local communities.

“The untiring efforts of APM in attending to various emergencies were honoured this evening during the event.

“We want to convey our big thank you to these frontliners for ensuring our safety and responding to distress calls at all times,” he said.

Quinn said his management team would continue to engage the locals by organising more community-related events.

He said the resort offers 213 rooms and suites designed with a touch of local inspiration.

Melaka self-learned magician Jason Hoon performed brilliant tricks, mesmerising the guests at the event.
